'Metamorphosis' - YMCA Guildford, entrance lobby 2007

The dazzling blue squares of glass portray a plant, growing in size and strength as they rise higher. At first the plant gives shelter and nourishment from itself to a caterpillar. The caterpillar stays as the plant grows and over time the caterpillar changes into a chrysalis. The Chrysalis is safely protected until finally a beautiful butterfly makes its exit to freedom.

These themes and Christian values are central to the life and work of the YMCA and its staff as they provide shelter and care for many in Guildford.
